In the 'About' page, you can read through some questions asked to me, and answered by me to learn more about the person I and the things I do.
'Vanasek' is my last name, and the 'one' is there to mostly represent the "I'm doing me and only me' kind of lifestyle, and besides the fact, it sounds cool, of course. Vanasek One is my personal outlet for having fun. I take photos for fun, not anything else. I only recently found out my work is worth something, and can be turned into something only one of my dreams can depict. So, Vanasek One is me telling everyone on every photo I take that I'm having fun and doing it my way.
I've always been such a perfectionist when it comes to art. Only recently have I realized that my vision of what a "good picture" is not seen the same way by me as it is by anyone else. I discovered that by noticing the only pictures I liked of me, were taken by me. Then, in a long story short, that snowballed into me doing what I would have loved to have for myself, to other people. Giving them nice photos to look at.
I would definitely have to say friends and family. I know that's super basic, but it's true. My mom and dad have been a huge help in making sure I don't jump into things too quickly. My friends have been big motivators in keeping me going and making me realize my work is worth something and I can take this passion, and make it something greater.
In terms of what I do to separate myself from others in my field, I'm young. I'm still in high school, word of mouth gets around quickly there. I feel very connected with my community and I'm not afraid to be myself and to combine that with my work in photography, rather than just being a 'normal professional' with New Times Roman fonts, I think I'm a breath of fresh air in a field with tons of competition.
Most definitely when I started actually paying attention to the photos that photographers on the sidelines of NFL games were producing. I immediately fell in love with sports photography and portraits. Letting people do their own thing and follow them around to get great angles brings a sense of calmness to me. Watching a player within their element and capturing all the emotions that they play the game with is also amazing to do.
